Annexe
The annexe “Le coeur” has a spacious communal area with a large kitchen and a play area with a pool table. There are two toilets, one wheelchair accessible.

Outdoor Areas
The estate features a lake, gardens, forest, courtyard, fire pits, as well as an outdoor sauna and hot tub for relaxing under the open sky.
Culinary
Eating at the castle
We offer our guests a rich breakfast buffet including coffee and tea, which can be booked separately for 10 euros per person. Breakfast is vegetarian/vegan and prepared with fresh seasonal and organic ingredients from our permaculture project and local producers.
Children aged 0-4 eat for free, breakfast costs 6 euros for those aged 5-11 (please communicate at the recption).

Cooking at the castle
For guests staying at the castle, there is a kitchen and the dining room Salle de Garde, where you can cook and dine like castle lords of old times.
For all guests (including those from the castle) we have a large kitchen in the annex building with a refrigerator, gas stove, oven, etc. and a beautiful dining area that can be used. If desired, vegetables and salad can be purchased from our permaculture garden.
There are various fire pits at the lake and in the forest. Our guests can grill or light a fire there (unless there is a fire ban due to drought).
Discover our Land
Walk through the park and discover our peninsula. There you can watch wild animals and relax. It has various benches to comfortably read a book or just be. A circular hiking trail starts in front of the castle and is about 7 km long, which is also an ideal jogging route.
Games and fun
In the oldest wing of the castle, there is a game area with a pool table and table football. There is a ping pong table and space to play football or volleyball on site. On request, bicycles can be rented from us to explore the area.
By the lake
You can explore the lake by pedalo or canoe and discover the flora and fauna. In our lake you can swim at your own risk at the bathing jetty.
Guided tour
Every Sunday we give the opportunity from 3 pm to 4.30 pm a partial tour of the castle and the park. The history of the site will be explained and our project presented. A minimum contribution of 5 euros per person is required, payable in cash on site. This contribution supports the project.
SPA area
The SPA area is open to our guests every Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The Finnish sauna, which is powered by wood, offers a beautiful view of the lake. The terrace in front of the sauna has 4 deckchairs for relaxing. The hotpot offers space for 6 people and you lets you enjoy the castle atmosphere.
On request, the spa area can also be used on other days for 60 euros (4 hours)

Important Information about your stay
Times for arrival and departure
As a rule, the rooms can be occupied from 4 p.m. On the day of departure, the rooms must be vacated by 10 a.m. Exceptions are possible, but must be agreed with the castle office in good time and confirmed in writing.
How to get here
Train Station at La Souterraine.
By Car: go to St. Sornin le Lac, turn right in the village and follow the shields “château de dompierre”. The parking area is outside the castle park.
Cancellation conditions for holiday guests
Cancellation up to 14 days in advance is subject to a processing fee of 50 euro.
Cancellation up to 7 days in advance 50% of the deposit.
After that 100% of the deposit.
